Terms of Service
Last updated 13 October 2026. These terms cover the OblivionScape launcher, the game client and the servers behind them.
What you need
You must own a legitimate copy of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered on Steam. OblivionScape does not include any part of the game and does not run without it. Oblivion Remastered carries an age rating, and you are responsible for meeting it where you live.
You need an OblivionScape account: an email address, a display name and a password. Accounts open in rounds, each admitting a fixed number of accounts, first come first served, and the number left is shown on the front page. An account that must be activated by email cannot sign in until it is, and is deleted if it is not activated within 48 hours. Using this site or OblivionScape means you accept these terms; the site asks you once, and again if your browser's site data has been cleared.
Your account
- Your account is yours alone. Do not share it, sell it, or let anyone else play on it. If you lose access because you gave your password away, we cannot help you.
- One person, one account. Making extra accounts to get around a ban is itself a reason for a ban.
- You are responsible for what happens on your account.
- You can delete a character in the launcher, and your whole account on your account page, at any time.
How to behave
The realm is shared with other people. These are the rules, and the people who run OblivionScape enforce them.
- No harassment, threats, hate speech or sexual content involving minors.
- No cheating: no modifying the client, no tools that read or write the game's memory, and no exploiting a bug instead of reporting it. Attempting it is grounds for a ban.
- No advertising, no spam, and no selling anything for real money. That includes selling in-game gold, items or accounts.
- No impersonating the people who run OblivionScape.
- Do not attack the service: no denial of service, no attempts to reach parts of the servers that are not yours, and no automated account creation.
Report a player in the game: press O, open the Help tab and use Report. You can also mute any player from their menu, which hides their chat and silences their voice for you.
Moderation
We can mute, kick, suspend or ban an account, with or without warning, when these terms are broken. We keep a record of mutes and bans. If you think a decision is wrong, tell us through the contact below.
Your characters and items
Characters, items, gold and progress have no real-world value. They are not property and cannot be bought or sold for money. We may adjust, remove or reset them when fixing a bug, an exploit or an error, and we may reset a realm entirely. We say so in advance where we can.
What you say and name
You keep whatever you write or say through OblivionScape, including character names. By sending it through our servers you allow us to pass it on to other players and to keep it as the Privacy Policy describes, so the game works. Do not send anything you do not have the right to send.
Availability
OblivionScape runs on a small number of machines. There is no uptime guarantee, no support commitment and no compensation for downtime or lost progress. We may change, suspend or shut the service down at any time.
Bethesda updates Oblivion Remastered on its own schedule. When it changes, OblivionScape may not work until the client is updated.
No warranty, and the limit of our liability
OblivionScape is provided as is, with no warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from using it, including lost progress, lost data or damage to your computer. Nothing here removes rights you have under the law of your own country that cannot be removed by agreement, including your statutory consumer rights.
Other people's software
OblivionScape is its own client, loader and server. It does not include or depend on any third-party mod or script extender. Oblivion Remastered and its content belong to Bethesda Softworks and ZeniMax Media, and this project is not endorsed by or affiliated with them.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and the site asks you to accept the new version. Continuing to play after a change means you accept it.
